Programs Built Around How People Actually Learn

Short intensives, semester courses, and professional workshops — all designed for adults juggling real lives in Canberra.

What Does a Melbournehub Program Look Like?

Every program at Melbournehub runs in cohorts of eight to twenty participants, meeting two to three times per week in our Northbourne Avenue facility or via a live online session for regional learners. Sessions run between ninety minutes and three hours — long enough to go deep, short enough to fit around work. All programs include a structured project component: you leave with something tangible, whether that's a communication strategy, a data dashboard, a lesson plan, or a professional portfolio piece. We don't offer pre-recorded solo courses. If you're looking for something you can pause and forget, this probably isn't for you. If you want to finish something and use it, keep reading.

“The data literacy program changed how our whole team reads reports. I'm not exaggerating — within a month of finishing, we challenged a vendor's methodology in a contract meeting and it saved us from a very expensive mistake. Eight weeks, completely worth it.”

— James Okafor, project manager, ACT Government

Common Questions About Our Programs

Can I join mid-cohort if I miss the start date?

No — and this is intentional. Cohort dynamics depend on everyone starting together and building trust from session one. We run each program two to four times per year, so if you miss a round, the next intake is usually within three months. Join the waitlist and we'll notify you as soon as enrolment opens.

Are programs delivered in person, online, or both?

Most programs have an in-person cohort at Northbourne Avenue and a parallel live-online cohort running on the same schedule. Both cohorts do joint sessions at weeks four and eight. We don't offer fully asynchronous options — live participation is central to how we teach.

Do programs lead to a formal qualification?

Melbournehub programs are professional development and community education offerings — they don't lead to AQF-accredited qualifications or university credit. If formal accreditation is your primary goal, we'll happily point you toward relevant RTOs or university short courses in Canberra.

What happens if I can't complete the program once I've started?

Life happens. If you need to withdraw, we have a structured process: full refund up to five days before start, 50% credit toward a future cohort up to day seven of the program, no refund after that. Credits are valid for twelve months. Please read the full terms before enrolling.
